SAT/ACT Classes and Test Preparation

 

WE OFFER INDIVIDUAL and SMALL GROUP  INTENSIVE COURSES

DESCRIPTION AND REGISTRATION FOR BOTH GROUP AND PRIVATE COURSES

 

All classes occur in person (at Los Altos) or via synchronous online meetings taught by tutors experienced on online delivery methods and the use of document cameras or similar technology

  •  When

            SAT

  • Group classes: First four Sundays of each month 10 am to 2:15 pm; except for July or December. September classes start second Sunday, except when a explicit change is noted
  • Math portion only: 10 am to 12 noon, English portion only: 12:15  to 2:15 pm. Tests are administered on any Saturday of the corresponding month at 9:00 am (please save four hours)
  • Private classes:  Tailored to your schedule (also 16 hours)

 ACT

  • Group classes: First four Saturdays of each month 10 am to 2:15 pm; except for July or December. September classes start second Saturday, except when a explicit change is noted
  • Math portion only: 10 am to 12 noon, Science and English portion only: 12:15  to 2:15 pm. Tests are administered on any Sunday of the corresponding month at 9:00 am (please save four hours)
  • Science and English portions taught  by the same instructor within the two hours
  • Private classes:  Tailored to your schedule (also 16 hours)
  •  If you miss a class
  •  We will be happy to send you any materials given in class and or a Zoom recording to be used by the student only
  • Tuition 
  •  Group classes: $950.00 per student. $550 for the math--or verbal -- or verbal/science -portion only. First practice SAT/ACT is free, subsequent ones can be taken (and will be graded and analyzed) for $100 
  •  Private (Individual) instruction: $1,500.00. $800 for the math--or verbal -- or verbal/science -portion only. First practice SAT/ACT is free, subsequent ones can be taken (and will be graded and analyzed) for $100
  • Group Classes Class size
  • Group classes: 6 students or fewer
  • Taught by
  • All highly qualified and experienced instructors. All of our instructors have a BA, but many have an MA/MS, a teaching credential and are knowledgeable/trained on SAT test taking strategies
  • Materials
  •  You need a SAT or ACT prep book. Prepare a binder, binder paper, calculator, pencil, eraser, snack, beverage, and a teachable attitude
  • Teaching method 
  • We teach to the test. We will tell you what to do when you don't know the answer. We will discover your weaknesses and help you in the specific area of concern
  • Guarantee 

    • If you don't get the score you want in the SAT or ACT, you might retake our group course one time for $600
